New York City’s three mayoral candidates – Independent Andrew Cuomo, Democrat Zohran Mamdani, and Republican Curtis Sliwa – faced off Thursday (October 16) night in the first general election debate in the city’s mayoral race.
According to the New York Times, the latest polls from Beacon Research/Shaw & Company Research shows Mamdani with a double-digit lead as of Thursday (October 16).
The candidates will debate again next Wednesday (October 22), just ahead of the start of early voting, which begins on Saturday (October 25).
