  1. I never trusted Sherrill but I'll give credit where credit is due. Talking about affordability during her campaign, and splitting with Schumer here; we need to keep the pressure on her so she doesn't revert to her old ways.

  2. People are slowly waking up to the fact the choice is between socialism and barbarism. Should have known this after the W. Bush presidency (and remember that the 2000 election was just the first coup). The Right must be crushed. The billionaires must be taxed out of existence.

  3. generational wealth is a BAD THING!
    END GENERATIONAL WEALTH!
when you die, all your money go bye bye. anything other than that is morally wrong there will never be equality or fairness if people just inherit wealth

  4. Not enough is being said about the the effect of AI on utility prices. Corporate interests overtaxing utilities to feed that stuff should be assessed all sorts of surcharges.

  5. Wtf are you talking about? Mamdani can literally accomplish none of this goals and so long as he's not involved in corruption, he'll be fine. As someone from Michigan who's had tons of corrupt governors and mayors of Detroit, so long as they're not poisoing our water or looting the coffers, it's a huge improvement.

From what I've seen over the last two decades, NYC has been a haven for corruption and abuse from sexual abuse allegations to the stop and frisk bs back on the early 2000s. That's not counting the legacy of abuse to the Muslim communities either.

All Mamdani has to do is not act like Cumo the Clown and he'll get reelected. He does even one of the things he promised and he'll be a hero. He does them all and he'll be a legend in NYC.

  6. The old guard dems are fighting the new wave tooth n nail. They must be replaced with congresspeople who truly fight for their constituents not corporations, not super PACs. If they’re too blind to see the changes of the left or just unwilling to see, step aside.

  7. She might have just oversold the electric cap.

First of all electricity is federally regulated. Most of it is contracted for in advance by auction. New Jersey is a net importer of energy, meaning it consumes more energy than it produces.

  8. Don't bother nuking the fillabuster, end the Senate! By 2050 75% of the U.S. population will live in just 15 states represented by 30 Senators. 25% of us will live scattered across 35 states represented by 70 Senators! This super majority will decide who advances in the military, who serves in the State Department, and who sits on the Federal Bench. We need an Article 5 convention to eliminate the Senate!

  9. She’s freezing them for a year. We just got an increase. The price won’t go down. I hope any data centers or companies that require huge electricity needs are made to fully bear the costs of infrastructure building and the should be made to offset homeowner prices too. If not, they can go rob another state

  10. The cost of housing was exacerbated by the first Trump administration deregulating banking, which allowed investment houses to purchase single family homes. We need regulation to get rid of the unbridled greed. When the collapse happens the investment banks will be back for OUR tax dollars to bail them out changing nothing for the people.

  11. Here is the separation. Conservative or progressive liberal. That's it! No neo anything.. no libertarian or centrist or moderate. A centrist or a moderate is just a conservative who was allowed to infiltrate the democratic party. In order to stop the progress the American people want. The 8 who caved did it because there donners. Were losing money. So they told their puppets to end it. There all corrupt conservative corporate shills. There are about a 100 of them. And they need to be removed.

  12. The federal dems are too beholding to corporate and billionaire donors and just want to maintain that relationship rather than work for the people. That's why they distance themselves from people like Mamdani. Primary every candidate that doesn't distance themselves from big donors and doesn't run on the same platform as Mamdani or Bernie.

  13. Absolutely. The most disappointing thing about establishment (corporate) Democrats is that THEY DON'T FIGHT for the things they say they want. Yes, it is imperative that left-leaning politicians, once elected, actually accomplish at least some of their priorities. But equally important is that they fight for those priorities. For so many years, establishment Democrats have said they want a public option for health care. But as soon as negotiations begin, they drop that immediately. Even when they had leverage during the Obama administration. It's absolutely infuriating and why I despise establishment Democrats. I'll vote for the lesser of 2 evils, but I'll support the sh!t out of progressive candidates in primaries. It looks like the voting population is starting to finally take the same view…

  14. We don't just need to keep Republicans out of office. We need reform, protection from federal policies and incursions, for our electeds to work for the people, not for power. And definitely not for Big Money (or Bog Anything).
