I Let AI Take Over My Channel. Here’s Why I Stopped.

1. I noticed sometimes when I google something with AI, I get bad or outdated information. We want your take on things. We don't just want a fake AI generated robot voice generating your videos. I'd even rather have some different view points from you than some artificially generated facts, because I would know that was your real opinion.

2. As in the name itself – it's artificial! AI will never be able to replace anything real, person or living thing. It's just a shell that collects data, whether true or not.

   Please remain yourself! In a world that likes to look for and use short cuts, we like to see and hear about the paths less traveled and the long winding roads!!

5. Right on girl! Almost 50 years ago now, while I was in the Army, I was tasked with writing a chapter of an Army regulation. The chapter was on radiation safety/radiation protection. When I turned it in I got called up to rewrite it because the policy was that all Army regulations were to be written on a fifth grade reading level. Converting all the nuclear physics involved to be understood on a fifth grade reading level took several times longer than writing the original text. Oh, yeah almost forgot: "AI = Artificial Idiot."

6. AI lacks the human emotions. That makes it a cold, unemotional presentation. I prefer the human touch. I never totally trust AI .

   Sally I think I can speak for everybody when I say. Bring it on. If we need to watch a cartoon of you guys, then so be it. Otherwise I get what you're shooting for.
   [$.02] The young folks in every generation has been looking for the easiest path and yes we can say humanity has become weaker in our ability to think. Our education system since the 1850's has seen to that. Public schools were started way back before that, but mandatory brainwashing in the States has taken us from proper thinking to whatever Texas calls it's schools. [One of the worse] and everything in-between. Nobody teaches critical thinking anymore. That needs brought back and started in kindergarten and continued right straight through graduate school. It ain't Pleasantville anymore. [$.02]

11. AI is already being used by a number of U-TUBE sites. The style, the voice, tends to give them away. I prefer human content creators rather then a monotonous recitation.

16. I will never trust AI. It is programed by man, today far too many programmers have evil intentions for the use of AI. It has been already discovered how they are using AI for their gain and to rip you off, mess with your privacy, creating fake videos etc.. Time AI needs strict limits on what it can do. Great for photo or video enhancing. Big corps like Youtube, Google, Microsoft, gmail etc. now want to intrude on your privacy on their platforms like reading your emails, taking pics, video's or even recordings you made with your voice all for their GREED and spying on you. Glad you caught it in time, I turn it off and refuse to use it on my cell and PC.

17. AI seems to be taking over everything we do nowadays!! It has its good points when used properly. It can helps us to learn more about a subject. I agree when used so much it can make you seem stupid. I see your point. We need to use our brains and not just rely on AI. That is interesting how you used AI for your video on the Edmund Fitzgerald. Yes I agree AI reliance is taking the humanity out of our life by letting it control everything we are creating and doing. 24. I always take ChatGPT to task. I call it out on its deficiencies in output. It finally admitted that it is not as smart as a human and doesn't think it will be for another 20-30 years, if ever. It admitted that AI companies are overselling its potential.

29. In the early days of computer I was told garbage in garbage out. So if the information fed to the computer is wrong it doesn't know any better. That same thing holds true with people. That is why it is so easy for people to be fooled by faults information.

31. You nailed this video:) I try my best to stay away from AI, but it's nearly impossible these days. I'm 55 and have an old-school way of thinking. I've been saying the same things about AI. But you said it better than I ever can. On a different note, I love your style…you have the coolest outfits! I watch your videos because I love your personality. You have to be careful with AI, I decided to research a real cold case and to keep me interested I think, my AI started to make up details that weren’t true and then when I called it on the inconstancies it pretended not to know what I was talking about… I spent 3 weeks on a case because of details it made up. In the end it was like “yeah, my bad” 😂. If I wouldn’t have been paying attention, I still could be working on it.. it’s useful to an extent not a teacher nor a research partner for anything important.
