While stuck for a couple days in a remote, extremely difficult to access community deep in Nicaragua’s Eastern interior, Abel approached me at night while I was walking around and started a conversation. I told him I was travelling looking for music people usually never get the chance to hear, and he said, «I’m a musician but I don’t have a guitar».
I was reluctant to believe him at first because he was so comical about it, someone verified that it was true and then we went on a journey to find a guitar and place to play. This is one of the gems I could have never guessed I would have found, especially in that place…always wanted to go back and find him, some people just shine!
