Mercado de Facebook Detroit Diesel con poca potencia. Prueba de conducción.

This Facebook marketplace buy is getting more and more expensive. $4,000 more in lower end main bearings and rod bearings replacement. Having been run without an oil filter didn’t do this engine any favors. It definitely has more power and boost once warmed up. 9a90s vs 9g90’s finer atomized fuel might help the hp a bit.

  1. On the lack of turbo boost when it’s cold, I would be replacing the turbo hoses and clamps with factory. I used to be a truck inspector and I had to test air air systems at the trucking company on every truck and lot times there’s bad clamps are hoses leaking That don’t show up until you put the system under pressure. And don’t go back with aftermarket clamps or aftermarket hoses my suggestion and check the air air. There’s a test kit that you put in Line or one of the hoses are and you check the air to air and that’ll tell you if anything is leaking on the system

  2. Turning your bus into a giant leaf blower is just to much. Ingenious! 😂😅😂😅😂
When the boost came up and you still had low power, my first thought was not enough fuel due to clogged injectors.

  3. I drove big trucks and was a driver trainer…. this guy scares me…first the obvious.. what is with all that crap on the dash? and then takes seconds to find a gauge that should be muscle memory.. now add a couple digital devices.. Assuming camera is slightly center right, lane usage is abysmal.. get rid of the trash, drive the truck.. forget the pig, santa, yesterdays dishes all over the viewing hole… The family in the SUV will thank you

  4. My RTS with the 6V92TA has slower throttle response then the 8v71TA (swapped out) when cold because it has smaller throttle delay orifice on the rack. Once warmed up the response gets better. You might want to swap the orifice from the other engine if it has one.

  5. Beautiful bus. However, what did the designer have in mind when he drawed the dash…! It resembles that of a plane. Often less is more, all those meters and gauges take away the attention of the real important ones. And that huge cluster takes away the view at the very front of the bus, already limited by the type of bus, that’s where a separate mirror attached to the right a-pillar comes in. Obligatory in many European countries. I wouldn’t walk away from such a model though, not at all. But I wouldn’t place phones on top of that cluster and attach them to the left a-pillar. It is great to see this bus gets all the attention, and more, it needs!
