Beshear acknowledges the economic grievance and hasn't done any warmongering misadventures. Just acknowledging the economic grievance makes him the second strongest candidate we've fielded in ~30 years.
How is being a Moderate a problem? Our last two Dem presidents were centrist moderates, won election handily, were popular and managed to get a lot of good done for the American People. We could do with another service oriented, scandal free, intelligent , experienced executive in the White House. I prefer Pritzker muyself, but Beshear would easily get my vote.
A Beshear/Gallego or Beshear/Whitmer ticket would be dope as hell.
He doesn’t have to troll, let others do that
So true
I’m a Beshear fan … but also a Kelly, Newsom, Pritzger, and Shapiro fan! The Dems are gonna have quite a primary in 2028!
So he’s kinda like a more progressive bill Clinton Ig that sounds electorally feasible
I've long contended that the most viable Democratic candidate is a Southern Governor. (When you can find one.) It worked for Jimmy Carter (who came out of nowhere). It worked for Bill Clinton (who came out of nowhere). Southern Governors can appeal to rural swing state voters far better than anyone from the Northeast or California. They speak that language and don't seem as "Woo-woo." I'm a Beshear Backer. And I live in Califonria.
I agree. I think that Andy Beshear can communicate with the country's heartland and with working class people in a way that Gavin Newsom cannot.
He vetoed an anti-trans bill? Then he’s not a moderate. The Democrats are not moderate anymore.
He is my favorite candidate for 2028…. He is a centrist which is what we need to win on the national stage … progressives are going to be a very difficult sell…or they may work for 1 uncomfortable term then they will be thrown out for being too ‘leftist ‘.
I bet Beshear got fewer votes for Governor of Kentucky than Karen Bass got for Mayor of Los Angeles. He’s not a viable national candidate.
Progressives were talking about how they really wanted him as VP during the 2024 Harris run. Bashear's also a full throated pro-union Democrat.
Your describing Biden. We don’t want another weak democrat that won’t fight back against this corruption when we give them power. Trump should be in jail but Biden was too weak
I think he has a real shot, I think he is solid and im glad he is under the radar right now. He can make up ground after the mid terms.
