The leader’s announcement came during a press conference from Capitol Hill where he was also joined by other newly announced members, Reps. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) and Jared Moskowitz (D-FL), as well as House Judiciary Ranking Member Jamie Raskin (D-MD), who previously served on the first January 6 Committee.
Additionally, when asked about government funding, Leader Jeffries said, «Democrats are prepared to work together to enact a bipartisan spending agreement that meets the needs of the American people … We will not support a partisan spending bill that continues to rip away health care from the American people, period.»

Well, it’s about time the whitewashing of January 6th stops. Removing Trump’s name from the impeachment exhibit was outrageous. On that day, the National Guard was never called in to aid the police—yet today, National Guard troops are being sent into cities without collaborating with local leadership or providing funds to strengthen existing police forces.
Over 140 officers were assaulted, and now more than 1,600 people have been pardoned—many of the very individuals who brutally attacked those officers. Where is the outrage, as Trump continues to unleash chaos and brutality across our nation without due process, accountability, integrity, or justice?
And beyond this, the refusal to expand humane immigration processes while feeding the for-profit prison system is not just misguided—it is despicable.
Where have you been? His vengeance on the prosecutors, judges, and the American people sends a chilling message. Pardoning convicted criminals on his first day of office in January 2025.
